General Information
CITADELLA RESTAURANT The Citadel, crowning Gellért Hill, was constructed by the Hapsburgs some 150 years ago to frighten the residents of Pest and Buda. The Citadel, which has seen a lot of hardships, has housed a restaurant since the mid-1960s. The guests visiting the restaurant will have the opportunity to enjoy Hungarian hospitality and taste the delicacies of Hungarian and international cuisine in a patinated milieu, under vaulted walls and period weapons. The quality of the cuisine is guaranteed by the acclaim of the Hungarian gastronomy profession, the Védnöki Tábla. In the evenings, the gastronomic experience is supplemented with fine gypsy music. Following the consumption of a delicious lunch or dinner walking around the Citadel, we can marvel at the beautiful panorama of Budapest, thus crowning our visit to the Gellért Hill.
