It was in 1216, when the name of the village Lipót was mentioned by a document, first. It is one of the oldest villages of Szigetköz. The ancestors, dealing with fishing, hunting and gold, were pleased to camp here, in the diverging water-world of Danube. From the thermal-well (boring: 1967) , 1200 l water with a temperature of 65 degree centigrade break out per one minute, from a depth of 2212 m. And this is the reason for the world-wide reputation of this village. The thermal water qualified as "mineral water" is mainly recommended against rheumatic pains and as drinking cures for the problems of stomach and intestines. Do you wish to have some silence and relaxation? You may go for fishing in the Danube-branches or in the lakes around the village. Besides, exciting excursions can be made on foot or by cycling to the romantic labyrinth of "Ezer sziget" (Thousand islands) Do you wish to be getting better? You will find your health in the water of this thermal-bath. Do you wish to reach Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest or Lake Balaton? You can do it and it will not take more time than an hour, from Lipót. In four rooms 10 guests can be accommodated at the same time. Every room as its own bath-room. In the mornings a fine and rich breakfast is served. On request bacon-toasting and goulash-party can be organised. There is also a good opportunity to make sports on the nice tennis-ground belonging to the house. The small lake, situated near the ground offers you excellent fishing possibilities. You are given the latest information - in German- about the cultural programs and seasonal festivals of this area.
